grand opening 2.0” // group exhibition

kasper hermann (b. 1989) works at the intersection of painting and sculpture, utilizing epoxy resin as a material that lends a glossy, opalescent effect to his works. his pieces resemble small, delineated landscapes, often containing encapsulated physical traces of personal belongings, which create structure within the material. serving as a kind of modern-day fossils, they address themes of the past and future, the known and the unknown, and the question of what traces we leave behind.
