THE EXHIBITION
The Ukrainian artist Nicholas Koshkosh not only spreads breathtaking and exuberant works of art but also critical awareness during his solo exhibition 'flowers instead of bombs'.
Here, the works act as spokesmen for the horrors in war-torn Ukraine, where the artist is still located. To put the works of Koshkosh in a box is impossible, and the hotchpotch of references insists on viewer interaction.
Additionally, the exhibition 'flowers instead of bombs' emphasizes the importance and potential of contemporary art in a time characterized by crises. Here, difficult and painful topics are transformed into beautiful works of art, creating inevitable conversations when the gaze of the view hits the canvas.
