Kræsten Kusk makes sculptures in wood, cut with a chainsaw and painted in clear pang colors. The motifs are vases with flowers.

"I'm concerned about how little processing of the square block of wood it takes to still feel a vase of flowers and the clash between the rough strokes of the chainsaw and the clear enticing pang colors."

Kusk is inspired by the stilleben tradition. It was long considered to be the lowest in the art hierarchy and therefore it was natural to start there.
